Interview With A Fitness Freak

Hi guys, I hope you've been well! As you all know, Ramadan (fasting) has come to an end and that means back to the gym. To mark the end of Ramadan, I decided to take it upon myself to interview Mo Raz, a fitness freak and fitness model (you can thank me later). Without further ado, the answers to your long awaited fitness questions are below! Big S/O to Mo, thank you for taking the time out to answer these questions! <3     " 1) Was there anyone or anything in particular that brought you to fitness? Well this is probably the most typical answer but Arnold! The main man himself! I watched his documentary “Pumping Iron” when I was around 15/16 and from that point on I knew that I wanted to look like these guys or at least try to. 2) How did you manage training in Ramadan? I think that many people overcomplicate training in Ramadan. The best thing to do at this time is not bulk (increase size) or cut (lean down body fat) but to maintain what they currently have.

Santorini

When I think of Santorini, I think of the bright blue sea, white caves and sun. Hand on heart, Santorini lives up to EVERY single image I have ever seen of it- it is a little heaven on Earth and now I really want a holiday home there LOL! I went with my sisters in the August of last year and we managed to book an apartment (Villa Pezoula) and flights for only £388.00 for a duration of 5 nights (found flights on Easyjet and apartment on booking.com). The flight was only 2/3 hours and when we arrived, I was taken aback by the TINY airport- it looked like a back room and didn't have anything fancy, it was quite literally for arrivals and departures. This didn't bother me though as the queue for passport control passed fairly quickly and soon enough, we were out in the beautiful HEAT!! We we were greeted by a driver from the apartment and he picked us up aswell as another British couple. The airport was roughly a 30min drive from where we were staying in Finikia and we lea

WAKE UP.

Fire in London, shooting in Virginia, 100,000 civilians trapped in Raqqa and this is not even in the past month. Human blood has become cheap and somehow we have become okay with labelling everyone and everything as "collateral damage". In the midst of all the politics, we have forgotten the "small" issues- how can we expect these absolute pricks we call a "government" to lead us to any success? It's foolish to believe we live in a genuine democracy and foolish to believe that these people sitting on millions of pounds will allow change to come about. Pray for the world.

A Levels, Results Day, Uni- Is it worth it?

If you are in 6th form or college, you will no doubt have heard your teachers bang on about how university is the key to success and how your life is pretty much set if you get a degree. I remember when I was in year 13, I felt bombarded with information on courses, loans etc and I honestly believed that a degree was the only way I could get where I wanted to be. I WAS SO WRONG. 6th Form was probably the most confusing time of my life yet and most of it was down to the fact that I was scared to take a different route simply because everyone else was taking the same route. I ended up applying to study Law with Criminal Justice at Brunel University as a result of not getting into any legal apprenticeship schemes. I cannot stress how beneficial apprenticeships are, if you can get into your career via an apprenticeship- do it! You learn practical skills so you have a head start against those at uni, you get paid and you are debt free. They are becoming very common, however, they are c

Top 3 Halal Burger Restaurants

If you know me, then you know my name is synonymous with BURGERS. I love a good burger, and recently it has grown into an obsession to try every single burger joint out there. Below is a list of my FAVOURITE burger places! 1) RED IRON- This will always be my all time fave. All burgers come with fries and the signature Red Iron burger with FOUR CHEESES is only £9.50- completely worth it for the size of the burger. I cannot express my love for their burgers enough <3 2) FLAMING COW EALING- The Flaming Cow in Ealing is completely halal and they have the BEST, succulent beef. I love the double beef burger, it is fresh and whilst it is not as big as Red Iron, it is definitely still filling! They also have the best sweet potato fries with a cajun dip. All in all, it's about £1-2 more expensive than Red Iron. 3) GOURMET BURGER KITCHEN- As basic as it is, I love the "Taxi Driver" burger from GBK with the truffle cheese fries, these are to die for! All GB

Istanbul- We Stayed Opposite an Illegal Sex House

In the August of 2014, when my sisters and I decided to embark upon our first travelling adventure, Istanbul was a city that quickly came to mind. It is the home of the Blue Mosque , good food and twirling dervishes. We booked our flights via easy jet and I remember them being fairly cheap, no more than £200, and we then went on to look for a good hotel. After reading reviews and comparing prices, we decided to go ahead and book Cenevre Hotel which was just a 15 minute walk from Taksim Square. On the day of our trip, we flew from Luton airport and the flight was very pleasant. Upon arriving in Istanbul, we noticed a lot of hustle and bustle and found it difficult finding a taxi that would take us to our hotel. Why did we find it difficult finding a taxi to take us to our hotel I hear you ask? Not because it was busy, no, there were plenty of taxis about- it just so happened that none of them knew where our hotel was :) :). FIRST RED FLAG. After about 20 minutes of trying to explain d

7 Best Ab Exercises

When you are getting fit, you will notice your goals change regularly. However, the one goal that has remained constant for me is ABS! I have never struggled with a pot belly or anything like that and I've always been naturally flat (barr when I eat and look like I'm ready to give birth to my food baby). I have wanted abs for as long as I can remember and never used to believe the saying that abs are 80% what you eat and 20% your workout. When I first started working out two years ago, I trained abs regularly and would notice definition despite eating absolute shit. However, the results plateaued and now that I am older and wiser (not), I cannot stress the important of eating clean to get your abs. Below are my favourite exercises for toning and defining my abs. Exercises: 1) Bicycle Crunches-1min (think about getting the opposite armpit to touch the opposite knee. Squeeze your stomach in and breathe. The lower your bring your extended leg, the more you will feel it).
