Venice Day Trip

On the 6th of May, my sisters, friends, and I decided to go to Venice for the day! It is always spoken about so beautifully and when tickets are only £77, why not! Again, we booked our tickets a week in advance via skyscanner. We were to depart from Gatwick at 8.25am via Monarch Airlines and return 10.30pm via Easyjet at Gatwick. The flight was not long at all, it was 1h40m each way and having never flown on Monarch Airlines, I was pleasantly surprised that the plane was clean, spacious and well kept. As soon as we got off the plane, we made our way to passport control which was fairly quick and then found the transportation stand. You can buy transport tickets from the airport to the main square via machines or on the actual desk, we decided to buy via the desk just to make sure we were buying the correct tickets. There is a choice of bus, water taxi or speedboat. The bus is the cheapest option and if I remember correctly, it costs only around 15 euros for a return ticket. We decide

Glute Workout #1

If you're trying to grow your glutes and aren't seeing any progress, it could be because you're not activating your glutes before your workout. When growing the glutes, it is important to lift heavy, activate the glutes and EAT. A lot of people seem to think that squatting alone is the key to growth, however, squatting can often grow your quads instead of your glutes- this is what I found to be the case with me. I haven't focused on squatting in a long while and my results are at their best. Below is a workout which will activate your glutes, give you the BURN you need and grow your glutes :) (Begin each workout with a warmup. I usually do 10mins on the cross trainer or an incline walk on the treadmill). RB= Reistance band. DB=Dumbbell. -15x3 glute bridges with RB (15 reps, 3 sets. Put RB above knees. Hold and squeeze for 10 seconds at the top for an added burn). -15x3 squat pulses with RB. (Put RB above knees. Squat. Push knees out to the side and pulse. You sho

Amsterdam 04/03/17

Amsterdam, the home of the Anne Frank museum, Red Light district and of course, cannabis! I had been wanting to visit Amsterdam for a while as everyone always rages about it, I finally did and I would go back in a heartbeat. My sisters and I decided we would do a day trip as time was tight and it turned out to be PERFECT. We booked our tickets a week before (they were much cheaper had we booked earlier), they cost £83 each and we flew with British Airways. I took 40euros spending money and still had money left over. We flew from Heathrow at 6.45am and were due back at 19:35pm. This gave us about 10 hours to experience Amsterdam. The flight was only 2h15m, so we arrived in Schipol Airport at around 10am (the time is an hour forward). As soon as we got off the plane, we made our way to the "meeting point" which is a big red and white wall, and it is near here the train tickets are sold. When buying tickets you have 3 options. 1) buy them online in advance. 2)buy them ove

How To Travel Whilst Working/Studying

If, like me, you are working full time or are studying full time, the dream of travelling feels like something that should be long forgotten until your 70's. You have exams, deadlines to meet, clients to email,- travelling just doesn't fit in and cannot be a priority. Not only is time an issue, so is cost! Travelling is expensive and you need your life's savings in order embark upon the world, right? Wrong! Until mid-last year, I was under the impression that travelling was expensive and time consuming. My sisters and I only really started going abroad in 2015 (I was 16) and it was there my wanderlust began. Two years later, going abroad once a year is not enough- I want to be experiencing somewhere new at least once a month, and there is an affordable, effective way to do it. DAY TRIPS: Yep, that's right, you can experience much of the world in just a day. Of course, this is subjective for different people, but, for me it works and it may do for you too. When trave
