Home Glute Workout

Before I started going to the gym, I was a massive lover of home workouts and yes, I did see results. The gym is not always necessary, as long as you are engaging your muscles and feeling the burn, you will see progress. Whilst you may not be seeing major gains, you can most definitely tone up and shape your body. Below is a glute workout that you can do in the comfort of your bedroom, remember to SQUEEZE- if you're glutes aren't on fire then you're not working hard enough. -60x donkey kicks each leg (squeeze at the top, you can place a dumbbell in your knee to make it harder but keep your balance. 20 reps, 3 sets) -45x glute bridges (15 reps, 3 sets) -45x fire hyrdrants (hold at the top to squeeze, engage gluteus medus. 15 reps, 3 sets) -45x raised glute bridges (15 reps, 3 sets. Lean your torso against something) -45x squat jumps (15 reps, 3 sets. Squeeze glutes when jumping) REPEAT EXERCISES, DECREASE REST TIME.

Wellness, Mindfulness & Madness with @BouAzizLifestyle

When you think of fitness, you automatically think of the gym, weights and a sculpted physique. Up until recently, I hadn't seen much focus on the importance of mindfulness and wellness- all of which contributes to creating a healthy mindset. After being tested with hardship, I found peace in meditation. This wasn't easy at first as it was frustrating due to my mind thinking erratically, however, it has helped me be able to watch my emotions and control my reactions. It is definitely a journey and there is so much to learn and practice. Below are a list of questions and answers I asked brother Mohamed Bouaziz- an advocate of mindfulness, movement, and all things positive. Upon coming across his instagram profile @bouazizlifestyle, I was intrigued and Alhamdulillah he was able to provide me with an insight into his world. Definitely check out his profile, it is unique and a breath of fresh air! "Bismillah. I just want to say thank you for giving me the oppo...

Interview With A Fitness Freak

Hi guys, I hope you've been well! As you all know, Ramadan (fasting) has come to an end and that means back to the gym. To mark the end of Ramadan, I decided to take it upon myself to interview Mo Raz, a fitness freak and fitness model (you can thank me later). Without further ado, the answers to your long awaited fitness questions are below! Big S/O to Mo, thank you for taking the time out to answer these questions! <3     " 1) Was there anyone or anything in particular that brought you to fitness? Well this is probably the most typical answer but Arnold! The main man himself! I watched his documentary “Pumping Iron” when I was around 15/16 and from that point on I knew that I wanted to look like these guys or at least try to. 2) How did you manage training in Ramadan? I think that many people overcomplicate training in Ramadan. The best thing to do at this time is not bulk (increase size) or cut (lean down body fat) but to maintain what they currently have....

7 Best Ab Exercises

When you are getting fit, you will notice your goals change regularly. However, the one goal that has remained constant for me is ABS! I have never struggled with a pot belly or anything like that and I've always been naturally flat (barr when I eat and look like I'm ready to give birth to my food baby). I have wanted abs for as long as I can remember and never used to believe the saying that abs are 80% what you eat and 20% your workout. When I first started working out two years ago, I trained abs regularly and would notice definition despite eating absolute shit. However, the results plateaued and now that I am older and wiser (not), I cannot stress the important of eating clean to get your abs. Below are my favourite exercises for toning and defining my abs. Exercises: 1) Bicycle Crunches-1min (think about getting the opposite armpit to touch the opposite knee. Squeeze your stomach in and breathe. The lower your bring your extended leg, the more you will feel it). ...

Glute Workout #1

If you're trying to grow your glutes and aren't seeing any progress, it could be because you're not activating your glutes before your workout. When growing the glutes, it is important to lift heavy, activate the glutes and EAT. A lot of people seem to think that squatting alone is the key to growth, however, squatting can often grow your quads instead of your glutes- this is what I found to be the case with me. I haven't focused on squatting in a long while and my results are at their best. Below is a workout which will activate your glutes, give you the BURN you need and grow your glutes :) (Begin each workout with a warmup. I usually do 10mins on the cross trainer or an incline walk on the treadmill). RB= Reistance band. DB=Dumbbell. -15x3 glute bridges with RB (15 reps, 3 sets. Put RB above knees. Hold and squeeze for 10 seconds at the top for an added burn). -15x3 squat pulses with RB. (Put RB above knees. Squat. Push knees out to the side and pulse. You sho...
