On the 6th of May, my sisters, friends, and I decided to go to Venice for the day! It is always spoken about so beautifully and when tickets are only £77, why not! Again, we booked our tickets a week in advance via skyscanner. We were to depart from Gatwick at 8.25am via Monarch Airlines and return 10.30pm via Easyjet at Gatwick. The flight was not long at all, it was 1h40m each way and having never flown on Monarch Airlines, I was pleasantly surprised that the plane was clean, spacious and well kept. As soon as we got off the plane, we made our way to passport control which was fairly quick and then found the transportation stand. You can buy transport tickets from the airport to the main square via machines or on the actual desk, we decided to buy via the desk just to make sure we were buying the correct tickets.
